法律英语常见短语之saveexcept(for)unless
“save”在通俗英语中常用作“抢救”、“勤俭”等意思，作动词用，但在英文条约中通常用作连词，表现除……外，与except (for)雷同。词源上这是一个法文词，因为汗青缘故原由，法国人统治英国相称永劫间。天然而然，相称数目地、反映法国统治者意志的法语词进入了条约英语的领域。Save就是此中较典型的、至今仍旧保存使用的一个。不管是save照样except (for)，之后都可以跟一个名词性短语或介词短语，后加that时也可以跟一个从句。Unless则与save和except (for)意思相近，后可加短语，一样平常译为“除非”。
